Purpose: The Global Head of Lean, as a member of the GPS & Smart manufacturing leadership team, is responsible for delivering tangible business improvements through the GPS Lean Programme. They support and influence business strategy and GSC objectives by improving process effectiveness and embedding the GSK Production system. They lead and manage a team of experts, building GPS skills and delivering results. Key responsibilities: Benchmark programme content and performance to industry standards and evolve the GPS production system accordingly. Maintain and improve GPS training materials. Create and execute a global GPS deployment plan aligned with GSC needs. Define, build, and deploy GPS Lean Capabilities and standards across sites and functions. Lead, motivate, and align a diverse team of GPS experts. Develop team capabilities to resolve operational and transactional problems. Monitor GPS deployment quality through standard processes. Promote GPS skills and behaviors via coaching, mentoring, and leading problem-solving sessions. Develop a scorecard to measure programme delivery and value. Support prioritization of GPS projects aligned with strategy. Leverage technology and digital tools to accelerate GPS initiatives. Collaborate to identify best practices and co-create programme enhancements. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering. 15 years in Pharma/Biotech, including manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and continuous improvement. 10 years of supervisory/management experience. Ability to work effectively across a matrix organization and influence senior leadership. Strong leadership, scientific, and business skills; able to manage multiple priorities. Experience in strategy development and execution. Lean Master certification or equivalent. Proven ability to lead complex problem-solving with cross-functional teams. Team-oriented mindset and excellent communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Vaccines or Biologics manufacturing, especially in Operations/Quality or Supply Chain. Why GSK?
