Job Description
The Hardware Engineer will participate to the definition of the hardware topics under the leadership of the Hardware Team Leader within the Handheld Scanners Business Unit.
Key responsibilities:
1. Design of analogue and digital circuits for low power battery operated products;
2. Familiar with the design/evaluation of microprocessor architecture for image processing devices;
3. Documentation of design specifications and implementation details;
4. Execute design reviews;
5. Upholding of hardware design standards and methodologies;
6. Collaboration with other team members (including optical, hardware and software engineers) to agree system designs, interfaces and protocols etc.;
7. Flexibility is essential as specifications may not be fully defined at the start of development;
8. Provide support for the hardware and manage component obsolescence throughout its lifecycle;
9. Development of appropriate test hardware and procedures, both informal and formal, to prove the correct operation of hardware.
Requirements:
10. Education: Electronics Engineering or Computer Science Engineering (MA Degree)
11. Languages: Italian - Fluent English
12. Experience: 3/4 years of experience in embedded HW design, low voltage power supply, interfaces.
Job Details & Specifications:
13. Electronics platform for embedded system (application processor);
14. Microcontroller with real time operating system;
15. Microprocessor Systems knowledge, preferably ARM based;
16. Power supply and battery charger design;
17. Electronic CAD skilled, C/C++ knowledge;
18. Analog design and 2D image sensors knowledge and LED illuminator (preferred).
19. Linux basic knowledge
