The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Tito (PZ) Italy. /p h3Accountabilities /h3 ul liProcure materials that are becoming obsolete (through LTB) or already obsolete (through brokers) working daily together with the technical department in order to prevent the lack of components on strategic products. /li liAbility to scout market worldwide. /li liStay updated on market trends pricing variations and industry practices to implement strategic procurement decisions. /li liIdentify select and manage suppliers based on performance cost quality and delivery considerations. /li liNegotiate contracts pricing and terms with vendors and suppliers to secure favorable and optimised conditions. /li liDevelop and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers and vendors. /li liProcess orders, monitor delivery dates and orders to ensure products and services meet the required standards, perform follow‑ups and maintain records. /li liResolve any issues and disputes regarding delivery price discrepancies quality or other concerns. /li liAssist in the preparation of reports documents and master data maintenance. /li liEnsure proper documentation record keeping filing of purchase orders invoices and other related documents. /li /ul h3Required skills / Knowledge /h3 ul li2‑5 years purchasing experience in the electronics components field required. /li liExpertise with MS Office products (Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint) and an aptitude for learning new software and systems. /li liKnowledge of the material field of electronics and mechanics. /li liAbility to communicate confidently and effectively. /li liFlexible team player who is willing to adapt to change. /li liProven analytical ability. /li liMaterial costing and price structure analysis. /li liSelf‑motivated and results‑oriented including ability to prioritise multiple requests. /li liStrong conflict resolution skills to address and resolve issues with suppliers and vendors. /li liExcellent decision‑making critical thinking and negotiation skills. /li liERP software knowledge preferred. /li /ul h3Languages /h3 pFluent English /p h3Education /h3 pAssociates degree in Electronic Engineering or Economics with Technical skills associated to procurement or supply chain abilities or related field of study and experience which would permit successful performance of the requested job. /p pThank you for your interest in Hitachi Rail.
