Automation Hardware Technical Support Europe
Beckman Coulter, a Danaher company, is seeking a Technical Support Specialist who will be remote-based in Italy or in Germany. Reporting to the Technical Support Manager, you will be in an international environment and provide second-level support by resolving customer problems and issues through technical expertise and troubleshooting on Automation Platforms. You will drive service targets while ensuring strong customer satisfaction and retention. You will apply critical thinking to resolve appropriate actions to rapidly repair instrumentation, train customers and Service Engineers, and support our Applications Team while verifying the operational performance and data quality of systems to support the overall commercial organization.
You will operate independently in the Italian/German territory and in Europe when needed (overnight travel as required) to provide excellent customer service to clients while installing and maintaining automation instrumentation and systems in hospital and stand-alone laboratory environments. We operate as a team to share standard methodologies, mentor, and receive experienced technical support.

Responsibilities
* Provide second-level technical support for automation platforms to customers in Italy, Germany, and, as needed, other European regions.
* Resolve customer problems and issues through technical expertise and troubleshooting; drive service targets and ensure high customer satisfaction and retention.
* Repair instrumentation rapidly, train customers and Service Engineers, and support the Applications Team.
* Verify operational performance and data quality of systems to support the commercial organization.
* Work independently within the Italy/Germany territory and travel within Europe, including overnight stays, to install and maintain automation instrumentation and systems in hospital and stand-alone laboratory environments.
* Collaborate with peers to share standard methodologies and provide mentorship and guidance as part of a global team.
Qualifications
* Biomedical engineer or equivalent.
* At least 5 years of Technical Support or Field Service experience in the Diagnostics market.
* Early careers are welcome with troubleshooting experience gained during a thesis or internships.
* Proficient English, both spoken and written, is mandatory.
* Ability to travel and provide service across the country and periodically to other European countries; a current valid driver's license is required.
* Willingness to work different shifts/flexible hours as business needs.
* Analytical mindset, able to analyze data, identify problems, and find effective solutions.
