Position OverviewOwn the numbers that drive our business forward. As our Cost & Inventory Accountant, you'll take full ownership of inventory accounting, standard costing, and COGS analysis — while keeping cost discipline sharp across the organization. You'll be our go-to expert for cost and inventory processes in Odoo, partnering with Operations, Finance, and Purchasing to ensure spending is accurately tracked, categorized, and analyzed. Clean data, solid controls, actionable insights. As we scale, you'll help design and enforce reporting structures and cost controls — and contribute to FP&A activities like budget vs. actual analysis, margin tracking, and operational KPIs.This full-time role is located on-site at our office in Brixen/Bressanone, Italy.Main Responsibilities
Cost & Inventory Accounting — Keep track of inventory values, product costs, and cost of goods soldCost Control — Make sure company expenses are recorded correctly and that spending stays within limitsOdoo System — Be the main person responsible for cost and inventory in Odoo, and help improve how it is usedTeam Collaboration — Work closely with Operations, Finance, Purchasing, and Logistics teams on a daily basisReporting & Analysis — Create financial reports, track budgets, and monitor key business numbersProcesses & Controls — Build and maintain clear rules and checks to keep data accurate and the business audit‐ready
Qualifications Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related fieldHands‐on experience in cost control, expense management, and ERP systems (e.g., Odoo, NetSuite, SAP, or similar)Able to configure and maintain cost structures, workflows, and reporting within an ERPProficient in Excel or Google Sheets for cost analysis and reportingStrong analytical skills with the ability to identify cost issues and propose solutionsClear communicator who can collaborate across Finance, Operations, Purchasing, and Logistics teamsProcess‐oriented with the ability to design scalable, repeatable controlsProfessional English required; German and/or Italian a plus
Nice to Have
2+ years of experience in cost, inventory, or operational accounting in a manufacturing or operations environmentSolid knowledge of inventory valuation, standard costing, COGS, and cost variance analysisGood understanding of how costs and inventory impact the balance sheet and P&LSome experience with budgeting, forecasting, or financial reportingFamiliarity with multi‐entity or multi‐currency operationsExperience with Odoo is a strong plus
