This position also has controllership responsibility for a related company in Italy which manufactures form-fill-seal machinery. Responsibilities : Planning, controlling and directing the division’s accounting and finance activities, ensuring a strong financial position and compliance with GAAP in Italy and the US, statutory tax guidelines, and other regulatory requirements. Stewardship of financial reporting accuracy and consistency, maintaining effective internal control systems, and compliance with policies and procedures. Developing, implementing, and enforcing policies and procedures to improve overall operations, controls, and effectiveness of the division. Overseeing reporting, analysis, and evaluation of financial results, trends, and ratios to drive performance, improvement initiatives, and division growth. Assisting in analyzing the financial impact of major business decisions. Developing a comprehensive plan to align transactional finance work across Italian subsidiaries. Participating with senior leadership to develop the division’s vision, strategic plan, budget, and forecasts. Improving budgeting processes through education of department managers on financial issues. Hiring, training, and mentoring the finance staff, developing performance metrics, and conducting performance evaluations. Performing or assisting with departmental operations as needed to maintain workflow and meet schedules. Attending meetings and cross-group groups to coordinate activities, communicate issues, and stay updated on policies. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy CPA, CA, or equivalent Experience 15 years in finance and accounting leadership within a global manufacturing environment, with 3-5 years in a management role Experience in shared service environments and U.S. multinational experience is a plus Knowledge / Skills & Ability Strong knowledge of Italian and U.S. GAAP, financial analysis, cost accounting, transactional processing, business intelligence, and business processes. Proven leadership, strategic thinking, and financial acumen. Understanding of manufacturing and operational complexities in an international context. Excellent communication skills in both Italian and English. Knowledge of Italian accounting and tax regulations, import / export activities, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel. Ability to lead diverse teams, influence others, and uphold high ethical standards. Willingness to travel approximately 10-15% worldwide.
