Hydro Building Systems Italy is one of the leading players in the sector, with production facilities in Italy that include a dedicated extrusion plant, a foundry, warehouses for profiles and accessories, and a painting facility. The "Building Systems" division of Hydro employs 3.100 people across 33 countries. Job Summary:

We are seeking a Technical Manager to lead and coordinate the activities of the technical assistance team, quotation processes, and technical project management. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage cross-functional collaboration effectively.


Key Responsibilities:

* Supervise the delivery of theoretical and practical product training to customers and the sales team.
* Ensure effective use of internal software tools for quotations and technical evaluations and coordinate basic training on these tools.
* Provide technical support to the sales team in handling product quality claims and installation-related issues.
* Ensure timely technical evaluation of customer orders in coordination with Customer Service.
* Oversee support for complex or non-standard projects, including feasibility assessments and solution development.
* Manage and validate technical quotations, ensuring accuracy, feasibility, and compliance with company standards.
* Lead the planning and execution of technical projects, monitoring timelines, resources, and risk factors
* Drive the development, training, and continuous improvement of Techdesign, fostering its evolution as a strategic tool for technical support and customer engagement.
* Collaborate closely with Product Development, Sales, and Marketing teams to ensure technical solutions align with business objectives.
* Act as a liaison between technical teams to support cross-functional needs and effective communication.
* Define goals, monitor team performance, and promote best practices across technical support and project management.
* Develop and maintain procedures, documentation, and training materials to ensure service consistency and continuous improvement.


Requirements:

* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Technical Sciences, or a related field.
* At least 10 years of experience in technical support, product training, or technical project management.
* Proven experience leading technical teams and managing complex customer interactions.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
* Familiarity with CRM systems and technical drawing or configuration tools.
* Fluency in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
* Availability to travel frequently.
