As a member of the supply chain team, they will work closely with global procurement specialists/directors, engineers, production and product managers to develop and implement comprehensive global procurement strategies to support the business plan. You will identify, evaluate, and select suppliers; negotiate prices and agreements with suppliers; be responsible for supplier relationships; mitigate material and supplier risks; and drive supplier performance using KPIs with defined measures. You will build value-added relationships with all stakeholders, including suppliers. You will provide support to management with information and activities related to suppliers, materials, and markets for assigned commodities. /ppbAbout the Role /b /ppJOB TITLE: bGLOBAL COMMODITY MANAGER /b /ppbResponsibilities /b /pulliDevelop and execute cross-functional aligned global sourcing strategies for assigned commodities within authority and in line with objectives and policies. Strategies must balance short- and long-term objectives and business priorities to achieve performance goals related to quality, total cost, and availability of materials or services. /liliEstablish annual commodity management objectives with regular updates on progress. Effectively communicate global commodity market information to the organization. /liliUnderstand the organization's needs in terms of alternative materials/suppliers. Investigate alternatives and make recommendations consistent with corporate and divisional objectives. /liliConduct research on market dynamics, cost drivers, supplier business models, and historical spending to improve negotiations for assigned categories and contracts. /liliEvaluate existing and new suppliers based on applicable capabilities, quality systems, management and financial stability, cost competitiveness, responsiveness, collaboration, and innovation. Identify opportunities to access supplier technologies. /liliDemonstrate supplier capabilities through key competency management. /liliMeasure and manage raw material and supplier performance using key metrics and communicate regularly with key suppliers. /liliManage the entire lifecycle of sourcing and procurement projects, working closely with suppliers and internal customers from planning and bid preparation to budgeting/forecasting, general delivery specifications, negotiation, contract execution, invoicing, and reporting in line with policies and objectives. /liliMust be able to understand raw material supply and demand constraints, taking into account second-level impacts, and set up successful global order plans for effective purchasing organization. /liliImplement and manage long-term agreements that ensure the best quality, delivery, and lowest total cost. /liliDevelop and implement sourcing strategies by creating action plans for strategic partnerships and mitigating underperforming suppliers. /liliRegularly evaluate suppliers/raw materials and identify the progression of suppliers towards future partners (1A suppliers) or initiate measures to remove underperforming suppliers. /liliConduct business reviews with key suppliers. /li /ulpbQualifications /b /ppProcurement - Sourcing experience with most of the following sets of raw materials: /pulliElectromechanical components, motors, air management, PCBA, and wire/cable assemblies /liliMetalworking, electropolishing, stamping, wire forming /liliFasteners, injection-molded plastics, hoses, extruded rubber, insulation, heat management /liliCleaning chemicals, blast chillers, oven accessories /liliExperience in developing and implementing global sourcing strategies. /liliProven track record of identifying, initiating, and delivering year-over-year cost savings. /liliAbility to develop, interpret, and make decisions based on total cost of ownership models. /liliProven ability to work collaboratively, with strong networking, influencing, and organizational skills, and to drive effective project execution. /liliPractical knowledge of how supply chains work and ability to evaluate the cost factors of industrial processes. /liliAbility to work in a team, interact successfully with internal and external organizations, and communicate effectively in a timely manner, both verbally and in writing, to ensure positive results. /liliStrong problem-solving techniques and ability to develop creative ideas and solutions. /liliStrong analytical skills. Ability to understand and communicate basic technical information both internally and externally. /liliExperience in the specific household appliance manufacturing sector is required, preferably with knowledge of the cooking sector. /liliExperience in participating in complex long-term agreement negotiations and increasing managed expenditure is required. /liliProven computer skills are required, including the entire Microsoft Business suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint). Experience with Qlik is an advantage. /liliBachelor's degree in economics, supply chain management, or operations management, or an equivalent combination of formal education and work experience. /liliMinimum of five years of experience in supply management, materials management, purchasing, manufacturing, or engineering. /liliAbility to travel nationally and internationally (up to 50%). /liliExperience in change management gained in a lean manufacturing or Six Sigma environment is preferred. /liliPurchasing experience in a highly diversified, low-volume industry is advantageous. /liliExcellent knowledge of English and a second language. /li /ulpbr/ppbPay range and compensation package /b /ppbr/ppbr/ppWork location: fully remote.
