Backend QA Engineer

As a Backend QA Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the stability, scalability, and quality of our backend systems within complex infrastructures.
Your role:
1. Play a key role in delivering reliable, high-quality backend solutions that empower the business and enhance user satisfaction.
2. Work collaboratively within the RIS system test team to ensure seamless integration and performance of backend components.
3. Partner with developers, automation experts, DBAs, and infrastructure teams to drive robust, bug-free product releases.
4. Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans and cases for backend systems.
5. Validate complex database deployments, including replication, RAC clusters, and disaster recovery.
6. Set up and manage test environments using VMware vCenter/vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V.
7. Perform API testing with Postman and develop automation scripts using Python and PyTest.
8. Test backend integrations with F5 and Citrix NetScaler load balancers.
9. Document test results, track defects, and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders

You're the right fit if you:
11. Have 5+ years of QA experience, with a strong focus on backend and infrastructure testing.
12. Hold an ISTQB Foundation Certification.
13. Have experience as a QA Engineer with strong focus on backend and infrastructure testing.
14. Have proven hands-on expertise with Oracle Database installation, RAC (Real Application Clusters), and Data Guard.
15. Have practical experience with VMware vCenter/vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V.
16. Have experience working with F5 and/or Citrix NetScaler load balancers.
17. Have strong SQL skills (queries, indexing, replication validation, performance analysis).
18. Have proven experience with API testing using Postman.
19. Have strong automation experience with Python and PyTest.
20. Have an understanding of high-availability and disaster recovery testing methodologies.
21. Have experience with CI/CD pipelines.
22. Have a strong level of English, both written and spoken.
23. You are a strong team player with proven communication and collaboration skills.
24. You have excellent troubleshooting abilities across databases, networks, and virtualized environments.
Nice to Have:
25. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or other relevant field
26. Experience with performance and load testing tools.
27. Experience with AWS and its services.
28. Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
29. Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools.
