Overview
Staff scientists (AC-TAP) at Single Cell Genomics Core Facility at the Biotech Research and Innovation Centre (BRIC), Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen.
We are looking for a highly motivated and independent wet-lab staff scientist for a 2-year position to support our efforts in providing access to single-cell analysis to the user community in Denmark to commence on 1 December 2025.
Your job
Your tasks will be to run wet-lab methods for single-cell analysis, mainly RNA-sequencing.
You will work closely with current staff of the Single Cell Genomics Core Facility and National Danish Single Cell Infrastructure CellX to establish standard protocols and provide them as a service to the user community in Denmark.
Around 10-20% of your time you will be involved in administration of incoming projects.
Profile
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic wet-lab scientist with the following competencies and experience:
Essential Experience And Skills
You have a MS in molecular biology or similar
You have strong experience in running RNA-sequencing wet-lab protocols in animal or human tissues
You enjoy interacting with colleagues and working in a team
You have good management and organization skills
You have good English skills, written and spoken
Desirable Experience And Skills
Experience in running single-cell RNA-sequencing protocols

The place of employment is at BRIC, University of Copenhagen ().

Terms of salary and employment
The employment as 'staff scientist (AC-TAP) is a full-time position.
Starting date is 1 December 2025, or after agreement.
Employment will be in accordance with the provisions of the collective agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and AC (the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations).
The monthly salary will be based on the number of years of work experience (seniority) with the possibility to negotiate a salary supplement based on prior experiences and qualifications.
The employer will pay an additional 18,07 % to your pension fund.
