Yacht New Build Project Manager
Reports To: Head of Projects / Owners Team

The Yacht New Build Project Manager will oversee the full lifecycle of a new-build yacht project, from initial concept design through delivery and post-delivery support. This role requires strong technical knowledge, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to liaise effectively with shipyards, naval architects, designers, contractors, suppliers, and the owner’s team. The Project Manager is accountable for ensuring the yacht is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
Project Planning & Management
Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and key milestones.
Coordinate all phases of the new-build process, including concept, design, engineering, construction, outfitting, testing, and delivery.
Oversee technical reviews, risk assessments, and progress reporting.
Act as the primary point of contact between the owner, shipyard, designers, naval architects, classification societies, and contractors.
Prepare and deliver regular project status reports to the owner’s team.
Review engineering specifications, drawings, and technical documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Monitor construction progress and quality control at the shipyard.
Budget & Cost Control
Track and manage project expenditures, contracts, and change orders.
Negotiate with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure cost-effective solutions.
Identify and mitigate financial risks.
Testing & Delivery
Oversee commissioning, sea trials, and acceptance procedures.
Manage warranty issues and post-delivery support.
Ensure seamless handover of the yacht to the owner’s operations team.
Proven experience (5–10+ years) in project management of yacht or large vessel new builds, refits, or related marine construction.
Strong technical background in naval architecture, marine engineering, or a related discipline.
In-depth knowledge of shipyard practices, yacht construction methods, and regulatory frameworks (class, flag, IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL, etc.).
Strong financial and contract management experience.
Willingness to travel extensively and work on-site at shipyards worldwide.
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
Must have the legal right to live and work freely across the EU
