Overview We are looking for a Smart Hands & Data Centre Engineer based in Ivrea who can provide on-site support on an ad-hoc basis whenever tickets are raised. The role requires flexibility, technical know-how, and the ability to act as remote teams’ physical presence in the data centre. Responsibilities Provide on-site “smart hands” support for remote technical teams. Rack/stack servers, storage, and networking devices; perform cabling and patching. Assist with hardware replacements, part swaps, and basic troubleshooting. Escort third-party vendors and manage site access when required. Document activities and update ticket status promptly. Requirements Prior experience in IT support, data centre operations, or field engineering. Familiarity with server, storage, and networking hardware. Knowledge of structured cabling (fiber/copper). Ability to follow remote technical instructions accurately. English communication skills (Italian is a plus).
