System Administrator / Workplace IT We are partnering with a leading international organization in the Financial Services/CIB sector to recruit a highly skilled System Administrator / Workplace IT Specialist for its Italian branch. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who thrives in structured, regulated environments and who is comfortable managing end‐to‐end IT operations with a high degree of autonomy. The selected candidate will join a lean and highly competent local IT team and collaborate daily with regional and global technology groups. This position plays a key role in ensuring business continuity, strengthening the technical infrastructure, and supporting ongoing transformation and security initiatives. Manage, maintain, and optimize Windows Server and Windows 11 client environments including Group Policies, security hardening, patch management, system upgrades, and OS image deployment. Administer core infrastructure services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS, SQL, and domain controller operations. Network Management Support the maintenance and configuration of the network environment, including firewalls, routers, and switches, in alignment with global security standards. Monitor network performance and availability using enterprise tools (e.G., Ensure proper cabling, patching, and hardware installation in local data rooms. Provide senior-level support on daily issues involving Windows clients, peripherals, corporate applications, and security tools. Support workplace technologies including printers, mobile devices (iOS/Android), and the Cisco IP telephony system. Ensure rigorous documentation of configurations, procedures, and incident resolutions. Core Banking Operations Support Perform daily operational tasks on AS400/iSeries systems to ensure smooth execution of the branch's business‐critical processes. Projects & Continuous Improvement Contribute to infrastructure improvement initiatives, security enhancement programs, and technology upgrades driven by regional or global IT teams. Act as a technical reference point for the junior system administrator within the team. 7–8 years of experience in IT roles within structured environments; Advanced technical knowledge of Windows Server, Windows 11, VMware, networking, backup & recovery, and security best practices. ~ Excellent troubleshooting capabilities and strong ownership of local IT operations. ~ Fluent English communication skills, both spoken and written.
