Job Description
This role involves managing a team responsible for producing accurate size and fit information for customers. The ideal candidate will have experience in people management, leadership skills, and knowledge of garment technical aspects affecting fit.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Global Manager, managing the Size & Fit team, and ensuring consistency across different teams. They will also be required to provide leadership, inspire and motivate the team, and ensure they are aware of the strategic direction of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Global Manager in all aspects of the Size & Fit team.
* Manage the Size & Fit team on a day-to-day basis, proactively develop their individual performance, carrying out annual performance appraisals and identify development needs.
* Line manage Details Copy Writers and liaise with Global Product Editorial managers to assess their work output and quality.
* Recruit, develop and retain Size & Fit product specialists, in line with the needs of the business and to support business growth.
* Provide leadership, ensuring team are inspired, engaged and motivated.
* Proof read and edit uploads and website staging, making sure the copy provided is accurate and on-line with the company tone.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. Proven people management experience and strong leadership skills.
2. Knowledge of garment technical aspects affecting the fit is essential.
3. Excellent standard of written English - articulate, with good spelling and grammar.
4. A flexible attitude and ability to adapt to change and last minute requests.
5. Numeracy skills with good computer literacy.
6. Experience of working with patterns, prototypes and mock-ups.
7. Vast knowledge of materials, production methods and finishing techniques.
8. Experience of working within fit sessions.
9. Demonstrated high understanding of luxury customer shopping habits.
10. Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously.
11. Confidence to liaise with a variety of departments.
12. Experienced working with stringent deadlines.
13. Outstanding work ethics and ability to multi-task.
14. Confidence and assertiveness in decision making.
15. Ability to understand and manage risk.
