He/she is also responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing the product variability model and associated digital tools (such as PLEiADE, DOORS, PLM4A) to support modular product architectures, efficient configuration management, and robust change processes. /p pThis role ensures robust change management, configuration control, and traceability from pre-tendering through project execution and sustaining phases. The Product CCM acts as the guardian of product integrity, ensuring that all changes are controlled, documented, and aligned with business, technical, and customer requirements. /p pThis role enables product re‑use, standardization, and digital continuity across the product lifecycle, supporting the organization’s platforming and modularization strategy. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 h3Configuration Variability Management /h3 ul liDefine and manage product variants (e.g., different models, options, features) to meet market needs while minimizing complexity. /li liEstablish and maintain the product baseline as the base Configuration Item List. /li liEnsure the consistency and integrity of the product baseline across all lifecycle stages (As‑Offerable, As‑Sold, As‑Built, As‑Required, As‑Designed, As‑Administered). /li liOversee the handover of As‑Built configuration to Service teams. /li liMaintain digital continuity and traceability between engineering, industrialization, and service. /li liModularization Standardization: Develop strategies to reduce variability through modular design and standardized components. /li liVariability Model Development Maintenance: Continuously improve the product variability model in digital tools (PLEiADE, DOORS, PLM4A, etc.), ensuring it reflects changes in product architecture, requirements, and customer needs. /li /ul h3Change Control /h3 ul liLead and coordinate Product Change Control Boards (CCBs) to ensure no uncontrolled deviation from the product referential or from what has been sold. /li liEnsure all changes are properly assessed, documented, and implemented in accordance with governance processes. /li liSupport risk assessment and mitigation planning related to configuration and change management. /li liActively support the Project and Service CCBs. /li /ul h3Lifecycle Support /h3 ul liSupport pre‑tendering, tender, project, and sustaining phases by ensuring configuration and change management deliverables are met. /li liCollaborate with Product Directors, Chief Engineers, Program Managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on configuration and change issues. /li liParticipate in product maturity evaluations and gap assessments, engaging actions to fill identified gaps. /li /ul h3Process Tools /h3 ul liDeploy and maintain configuration management tools (e.g., PLM4A, DOORS, PLEiADE) to support digital product governance and ensure seamless integration and digital continuity between engineering, industrialization, and service functions. /li liEngineering Tools Oversight: Own and maintain CAD, PLM, ERP, or simulation tools used in product development and manufacturing. /li liTraining Support: Provide training and support to engineering teams on tool usage and best practices. /li /ul h3Compliance Quality /h3 ul liEnsure adherence to internal and external standards, processes, and regulatory requirements. /li liSupport audits and reviews related to configuration and change management. /li /ul h3Technical Expertise /h3 ul liStrong knowledge of configuration management principles, change control processes, and product lifecycle management (PLM) systems. /li liStrong knowledge of digital tools for configuration management (e.g., PLM4A, DOORS, PLEiADE). /li liStrong understanding of product lifecycle management (PLM), configuration management, and variant modeling. /li liUnderstanding of engineering, industrialization, and service integration. /li /ul h3Analytical Organizational Skills /h3 ul liAbility to analyze complex technical and organizational issues, synthesize information, and propose effective solutions. /li liRigorous attention to detail and discipline in applying standards and processes. /li liExcellent stakeholder management cross‑functional collaboration skills; able to work cross‑functionally with engineering, procurement, industrialization, and service teams. /li liStrong communication skills to facilitate CCBs, document changes, and ensure alignment across teams. /li liProactive in driving change, anticipating risks, and ensuring robust governance. /li liCapable of supporting a culture of continuous improvement and digital transformation. /li /ul h3Project Management /h3 ul liExperience supporting projects through all lifecycle phases, from pre‑tendering to sustaining. /li liAbility to manage multiple priorities and deliverables in a dynamic, matrixed environment. /li /ul h3Key Interfaces /h3 ul liProduct Director (direct report) /li liProduct Manager /li liProgram Manager /li liCost Competitiveness Manager /li liEngineering, Procurement, Industrialization, and Service teams /li /ul pAlstom is the leading company in the mobility sector, solving the most interesting challenges for tomorrow’s mobility.
