In this role you will lead the strategic evolution of the global supplier base to create competitive advantages in cost, resilience, quality, and innovation. You will bridge Category Strategy and Factory Execution, transforming suppliers from transactional vendors into strategic partners. You’ll safeguard the supplier ecosystem to meet today’s performance and future technology, capacity, and sustainability needs. You will drive cross‑functional programs that improve yield, on‑time delivery, and quality, while aligning with Hitachi Energy’s values and growth goals.

* Maintain a multi-tier supplier map to identify sub-tier risks
* Own supplier onboarding, qualification, performance governance, and phase‑out
* Run capacity and constraint stress tests aligned to a 3-year growth plan
* Lead executive reviews for strategic and preferred suppliers focusing on SQDC, innovation, and digital collaboration
* Lead improvement programs with cross‑functional resources to deliver measurable gains
* Coordinate resolution of supplier performance escalations and implement CAPAs
* Identify single points of failure and implement mitigation (dual sourcing, near‑shoring, redesign)
* Maintain supplier risk profiles and ensure mitigation plans for critical suppliers/materials
* Support ESG adoption (CO2 reporting, Scope 3 transparency, audits) aligned to requirements
* Provide supplier ecosystem and commercial feasibility input for DtV and NPI; support technology transfers
* Champion supplier digital connectivity to enable real‑time ERP/SRM execution
* Contribute to make‑vs‑buy studies and define supplier ecosystem implications xjrgpwk
* Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations and guidelines

Responsabilità
* Bachelor in Engineering
* 10+ years in Supply Chain Management, supplier development, supplier quality, or operations
* Leadership of cross‑functional supplier performance and improvement projects
* Strong analytical skills and executive communication
* Fluency in English; other languages advantageous
* Willingness to travel up to 25%
