Joining us means joining a truly global community of more than 36,300 people dedicated to solving real-world mobility challenges and achieving international projects with sustainable local impact. /ppWe are looking for an bAFTER SALES ENGINEER /b in our site in Bologna. /ppbPurpose of the Job /b /ppThe main purpose of the role is to provide technical support to maintenance activities (on site or by remote) on Railway Signalling Systems operated by the Alstom domestic and international Customers. /ppThe role includes the responsibility to manage warranty obligations on the projects in the scope of Alstom. /ppbPosition in the Organisation /b /ppThe position will be part of Services Signalling Platform Organisation - Maintenance Team. Hierarchical and Functional report to the Signalling Maintenance Manager. /ppbNetwork Links /b /ppInternal relationships with other Alstom Functions: System and Product, Application Engineering, Industrialization, Supply Chain departments, Installation. External relationships with Customer infrastructures operators and with maintenance technicians. /ppbResponsibilities and Accountabilities /b /ppThe person will be responsible for: /pullidefinition and implementation of Maintenance and technical assistance plans; /lilicoordination and support to maintenance technicians on field; /liliprovision of performances and log analysis; /liliprovision of structured “return of experience” process by: reporting, statistics, etc; /liliexecution and supervision of HW and SW retrofit and upgrade plans; /liliprovision of support to Service Signalling Platform organization in the definition of maintenance strategy in tenders and offers; /liliCooperation with product engineering in the definition of maintainability requirements during the product’s design phase. /li /ulpThe position also includes the availability to perform activities outside of the Bologna Alstom site (25%) and to be part of the team that support by remote H24 the customer maintenance team. /ppbEducational and Technical Requirements /b /pulliBachelor/Master degree in Electronics/Electric/Telecommunications Engineering /liliCapability to interpret electric drawings and schemes /liliKnowledge of electronic design principle and methodology /liliKnowledge of the most common operating systems (Unix, Ms-Windows, …) /liliKnowledge of the most common net protocols (TCP/IP, …) /liliKnowledge of RAM analysis methodology /liliCapability to use test tools (oscilloscope, wave generator, multimeter, etc…) /liliBasic knowledge of railway systems and or transportation systems would be a plus /li /ulpbLanguages: /b /pulliItalian: excellent level written and spoken /liliEnglish: good level written and spoken /liliKnowledge of French is desirable but not mandatory /li /ulpbCompetencies and Experience Requested: /b /pulliCapability of synthesis and related written exposure /liliCapability to perform analysis and to relate information from different contexts /liliCapability to work in team and attitude to problem solving /liliNew graduate or one/two years of experience in electronic or electromechanical company /liliHardware and firmware design /liliKnowledge of on site or remote technical assistance for Electronic/Electromechanical application /li /ulpbJob Location: /b Bologna /ppAn agile, inclusive and responsible culture is the foundation of our company where diverse people are offered excellent opportunities to grow, learn and advance in their careers.
