We are looking for a Group Consolidation and Financial Accounting Specialist at our headquarters in Milan.
The person will directly report to Moleskine's Head of Administration, Finance and Treasury.
This role ensures compliance with accounting standards, accuracy in financial reporting, and coordination between various subsidiaries.
Main Responsibilities
1. Manage the preparation of the monthly consolidated accounts, ensuring compliance with Group accounting policies, statutory requirements, and IFRS;
2. Monitor and improve the consolidation process to enhance efficiency, identifying opportunities for process improvements in financial consolidation and accounting reporting;
3. Utilize financial consolidation software and maintain data accuracy;
4. Collaborate with the accounting and reporting team at the shareholder level, providing financial reports respecting periodic deadlines;
5. Support subsidiaries in managing accounting and financial issues;
6. Assist the local HQ Finance Team in performing periodic financial statement analysis and reconciliations;
7. Maintain adherence to regulatory reporting requirements and corporate accounting policies; develop and maintain consolidation schedules and timelines;
8. Manage closing activities for HQ and subsidiaries without a local Financial Manager; oversee the monthly and annual closing processes, acting as the focal point for external accountants (tax and accounting firms) involved in subsidiaries' accounting and fiscal processes.
Skill Requirements
1. At least 3 years of experience in consolidation roles within a Big Four firm or a multinational company;
2. Proficiency in English;
3. Knowledge of IFRS and Italian GAAP;
4. Strong understanding of intercompany eliminations and foreign currency translation;
5. Proactive approach with a Change Management mindset;
6. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills;
7. Strong IT skills, including SAP, FCCS, and MS Office.
