The Communications Manager will lead eBay Italy communications strategy, partnering closely with the Global Communications team and executive leaders in creating narratives, content, stories and events. /ppThe role has a hybrid way of working, being based in our Milan office 3 days a week. /pliWhat You will Accomplish /liliYou will lead proactive comms campaign development and execution - you will be responsible for developing highly integrated PR programs which support eBay’s business objectives /liliLead the strategy and drive storytelling campaigns across our key verticals /liliBe part of a cross-functional working group and deliver essential communications counsel to internal partners /liliBe a strategic thought partner to the business, demonstrating industry understanding and customer insights /liliHandle budgets, multiple work-streams and agency teams /liliFoster strong media relationships to build eBay’s commercial and brand reputation /liliWhat You Will Bring /liliDemonstrable experience working at a mid-senior level on recognized brands in a fast-paced, PR environment, either agency or in-house, with experience in delivering successful PR campaigns /liliExperience working with international companies and / or in the tech sector is a plus /liliWe’re looking for someone who is a forward-thinking and creative storyteller, has a penchant for cross-team collaboration, a proactive and upbeat approach, outstanding judgement, presentation and communications skills /liliA natural flair for news and social trends coupled with excellent news and editorial judgement and an in-depth understanding of how the media operates /liliAbility to interpret data quickly and build genuinely exciting and relevant media pitches and story opportunities. /liliUnderstanding of Italy media landscape with established relationships /liliExperienced in briefing spokespeople, drafting media QAs, statements and press releases /liliStrong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
