We are a public company listed on the Italian Stock Exchange, with almost 150 years of experience, over 30,000 employees, 104 plants and 27 RD centers in over 50 countries. /p h3Role Overview /h3 pThe Submarine Installation Marine Engineer role primarily functions as an Installation Engineer in office work and partially as Offshore Manager / Deputy Offshore Manager in offshore installation sites. /p h3Installation Engineer – Office-Based Responsibilities /h3 ul liCoordinate with cross-functional teams (Installation, System Design, Manufacturing, Project Management, Quality, Purchasing) to support submarine cable system projects. /li liPrepare detailed installation documentation (Installation Manual) including: ul liOperational procedures for cable installation (route clearance, PLGR, cable loading, laying, burial). /li liTechnical drawings, calculations, and risk assessments. /li liInstallation schedules and asset planning. /li /ul /li liDefine and prepare installation assets (vessels, burial machines, equipment). /li liLead technical aspects of subcontractor selection and specification drafting. /li liEnsure compliance with technical and quality standards for cable and equipment handling. /li liOversee asset certification, usage, and maintenance (vessels, subsea machines, tools). /li liMonitor project constraints, contract clauses, and operational efficiency. /li liMaintain client relationships and supervise subcontractors during installation phases. /li liInterface with internal departments for reporting and coordination. /li liPrepare final project documentation (As-built Reports) consolidating all execution records. /li /ul h3Marine Operation Superintendent – Offshore Responsibilities /h3 ul liExecute marine installation activities on vessels and offshore sites (e.g., landing points, platforms). /li liLead and coordinate teams based on project complexity. /li liManage: ul liRoute clearance, PLGR, pre-lay burial, vessel mobilization. /li liCable loading, laying, burial, and pulling through HDD or onto platforms. /li liCable repair and jointing operations. /li /ul /li liEnsure adherence to HSE standards, technical procedures, and quality requirements. /li /ul h3Travel Requirements /h3 pFunction requires significant travel on an international basis. /p h3Qualifications /h3 ul liPreferred to have a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Engineering Technology or other Engineering related subjects. /li liPreferably experience in a role involved in installation of submarine cable, but experience in construction industry is acceptable.
