Overview
We are looking for a DigiTal Indirect Commodity Manager to join the Indirect Purchasing Commodity team, reporting directly to the Head of Indirect Commodity. This position is preferably based at our office in Corbetta (Milan).
As the Indirect DigiTal Commodity Manager at Marelli, you will be in charge of:
* ICT, with main spend areas: HW, SW, Outsourced partners, Cloud Services, Connectivity, Application and Cybersecurity services.
* Strive to create sustainable value by integrating and managing external partners with the aim to generate competitive advantages for a sustainable growth in business and quality.
* This position aims at managing a reliable supplier panel for the Macro-class of reference (ICT) in accordance with Marelli Indirect Commodity policies and procedures.
* Lead and harmonize supplier management activities across all regions, ensuring alignment with Marelli’s global procurement policies and procedures.
* Develop and execute global strategies for key categories.

Responsibilities
* Global Commodity Strategy: Develop, implement, and continuously improve global commodity strategies in line with corporate objectives, market trends, and business needs.
* Stakeholder and Communication skills: Strong stakeholder management skills, ability to translate technical requirements into commercial requirements and business needs in sourcing strategies.
* Supplier Relationship Management: Lead global supplier selection, evaluation, and performance management. Foster strategic partnerships and drive supplier development initiatives.
* Cost Leadership: Drive global cost optimization initiatives, leveraging negotiation, value engineering, and alternative sourcing strategies.
* Market Intelligence: Monitor global market dynamics, pricing trends, and supply risks. Provide actionable insights to executive stakeholders.
* Contract Management: Lead global contract negotiations, ensuring compliance with legal and corporate requirements.
* Legal, Compliance and Risk Management: SW licensing compliance, Data Privacy and GDPR, IP rights, Regulatory compliance, contractual risk mitigation.
* Reporting & Analytics: Oversee global commodity performance metrics, savings, and supplier KPIs. Prepare executive reports and presentations.
* Team Leadership: Mentor and develop regional commodity teams, fostering a culture of high performance and collaboration.
* DOA: Approve within delegation limits the process of the Supplier Bid List / nomination approval.
Qualifications
* Education: Degree in Economics, Engineering, or related field.
* Languages: Fluent English required; additional languages preferred.
* Experience: Minimum 10 years proven experience managing ICT / Digital categories.
* Travel: Willingness to travel internationally as required. Driving license is required.
Other skills
Functional expertise of SAP and/or JAGGAER is considered as a plus.
Expectations
Good knowledge of MS Office suites, with expert knowledge of Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel. Ability to work effectively within a global matrixed organization as a trusted member of a multicultural team, across multiple locations and countries. Problem-solving and analysis techniques, good communication skills (presentation, written, verbal). Commercial and technical negotiation skills, mediation skills, relationship building, and conflict management.
