OverviewWe are seeking a talented Global Purchasing Manager Finished Goods AFM, to join our Purchasing team at Dayco.The role leads and coordinates the Global Aftermarket Purchasing Team, working closely with the Global Purchasing Manager to manage and develop strategic suppliers. Key responsibilities include driving cost reduction initiatives (Cost Out projects), identifying and developing new strategic suppliers, supporting supplier negotiations, and managing the procurement of new product lines and new SKUs within the NPI process. The role also supports S&OP initiatives and cross-functional supply chain projects to ensure alignment across the organization.Main duties & responsibilitiesSupervise the request for quotation (RFQ) process.Prepare sourcing approval recommendations.Coordinate of commodity strategies and sourcing activities.Define contracts with vendors and suppliers on pricing, lead time and terms of agreement.Work with SQE to set suppliers approval process.Analyze spend for savings opportunities (internal and external).Manage local teams and monitor Global Cost Out Projects.Maintain consistent communication with suppliers and Dayco engineering to ensure that new SKUs or COPs SKUs are approved.Interface between suppliers and engineering/operations/marketing to answer questions related to RFQ.Search and development of current and new suppliers.Set and monitor KPIs (cost savings, payment terms, Supplier scorecards).Work with buyers to maintain supplier profiles, supplier scorecards, supplier capabilities, supply agreements & contract files, price lists (through Suppliers Portal where active).Coordinate the Suppliers Portal Administrator to keep the tool effective and updated.Support buyers to resolve blocked invoices and discrepancies related to price or quantity.Support buyers to work with PMs to support the procurement of new SKUs (NPI process).Work with SQE to ensure that any supplier is in compliance with Dayco Quality system.Coordinate the Team to support ISO-9001 Quality Audits.Collaborate with Global Purchasing Manager for strategic suppliers.Requirements and SkillsMinimum 7-8 years of experience in purchasing roles in the Automotive Aftermarket.Fluency in English.Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related field.Data analysis and advanced Excel skills.ERP system knowledge (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards).Strong sense of ownership and ability to work independently.Results-oriented with a strong focus on achieving targets.Team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and support decision-making.Ability to manage and resolve conflicts constructively.Proactive mindset with the ability to propose innovative solutions and improvements.More informationContract Type: Permanent position.Workplace: Europe – preference for candidates based near Ivrea (TO), Italy.#J-18808-Ljbffr
