You will act as a trusted technical expert on-site, representing NACOS Marine toward customers, shipyards, and classification societies. /ppThis role requires a high level of technical competence, independence, and customer-facing professionalism. You will execute and lead service activities according to defined work plans while actively contributing to quality improvement, customer satisfaction, and knowledge sharing within the service organization. The position reports directly to the Field Service Team Leader. /ph3Key Responsibilities /h3ulliLead commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced marine navigation and control systems /liliPerform system checks, adjustments, configuration, and fine-tuning of complex navigation installations /liliExecute and oversee pre-commissioning, commissioning, and warranty activities in shipyards and onboard vessels /liliAct as technical lead during sea trials and, when required, serve as warranty engineer /liliPresent and hand over navigation systems to shipowners, shipyards, and classification societies /liliIndependently execute complex repairs, upgrades, and system overhauls /liliEnsure all work complies with NACOS Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental standards and customer-specific procedures /liliMaintain clear, professional communication with customers and project stakeholders throughout service execution /liliPrepare accurate service, commissioning, and warranty documentation and reports /liliIdentify improvement opportunities, support continuous improvement initiatives, and promote NACOS solutions to customers /liliAct as a mentor and technical reference for less experienced service engineers when required /li /ulh3Qualifications /h3ulliDegree or diploma in Electronics, Automation, Navigation, Mechatronics, or equivalent technical experience /liliSeveral years of professional experience in marine service and commissioning, preferably on cruise or merchant vessels /liliStrong expertise in marine navigation systems; experience with NACOS Platinum, gyro, and steering systems is highly preferred /liliExcellent troubleshooting capabilities across hardware, software, and system interfaces /liliAbility to read, interpret, and work independently from electrical drawings and technical documentation /liliStructured, solution-oriented, and hands-on working style with strong ownership mindset /liliExcellent interpersonal, intercultural, and customer communication skills /liliFluency in English (written and spoken); Italian proficiency is an advantage /liliWillingness to travel frequently within Europe and occasionally worldwide /li /ulh3Benefits /h3pWhy Choose Us /ppAt NACOS Marine, we empower experienced professionals to take ownership, lead by example, and shape the future of maritime technology.
