The researcher will be involved in the characterization of new alloys and composites, development of a materials database and feasibility studies on the decoration and finishing of alloys. /p h3Main Responsibilities /h3 ul liFeasibility studies on new alloys: quantitative characterization of mechanical properties, troubleshooting processing challenges, integration with production workflows /li liMaterial database development: supporting the database framework development, gathering and compiling data, development of reporting tools /li liSupporting feasibility studies on the development of new finishing strategies for alloys /li liDelivery of project milestones to internal and external stakeholders /li liEnsure technical consistency for new products proposals /li /ul h3Main Requirements /h3 ul liEducational Background in Materials Engineering or Mechanical Engineering /li li0-1 years of work experience. /li liBasic know-how of metallurgy and characterization techniques for metallic materials (optical microscopy, micro-indenter, universal testing machine) /li liPrevious experience in the development of automation on industrial machines is considered as a plus /li liStrong problem solving skills /li liSolid experience with Microsoft Office Suite /li liComfortable to work within an industrial/manufacturing environment /li liYou are fluent in English and Italian /li /ul h3What’s In It For You /h3 pIn EssilorLuxottica, you are not defined just by your job title.
