Job Description
Essential Functions:
1. Qualify inbound Marketing and Sales leads utilizing proven sales strategies to create sales funnel
2. Initiate and develop conversations with strategic targets to help convert marketing leads into new accounts by partnering with Field Sales Engineers
3. Develop technical command of the diverse Cognex product portfolio through extensive hands-on training.
4. Research and contact key target accounts based on information discovered.
5. Set priorities and advance sales opportunities with respective Sales team members/leaders.
6. Build cross-department relationships and lines of communication.
7. Manage project-creation activities in the CRM database.
8. Contribute feedback to Marketing and Sales effectiveness and efficiency initiatives.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
9. Perform with a results-oriented, pro-active mentality to move fast and meet goals
10. Engineering or manufacturing backgrounds and knowledge with attention to detail is required.
11. Engaging verbal and written communication skills both in person and over the phone in essential
12. Well versed in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
13. Good listening, note-taking, and de-briefing skills are required.
Minimum education and work experience:
14. Bachelor’s degree is required; Concentration in Technical or Engineering track (i.e. Computer Science, Electrical)
15. Customer facing experience within a highly-technical hardware or software engineering and manufacturing company is a plus.
16. Proven ability to understand business objectives and achieve goals; required.
