Job Description
As a Combustion Module Owner within the Campania Engineering Center organization at Avio Aero, a GE Aerospace Business unit, you will have the prime responsibility for the coordination of development projects for New Product Introduction and Future of Flight programs with a specific focus on Combustion and Exhaust Modules.
Essential Responsibilities
* Technical reference within the engineering organization for all the engineering activities relevant to the assigned Module
* Drive the program through the Engineering process, ensuring full respect of the objectives of performance, costs, schedule and quality
* Focus on team engagement, problem solving, technical guidance and support
* Proactively contribute to the Operative plan definition and budgeting forecasting process
* Issue the technical documents related to component evolutions and the specifications towards suppliers
* Prepare and monitor the overall actions and milestones in line with the Operative plan
* Organize and manage all technical reviews according to the plan ensuring the attendance of the proper reviewers; monitor closure of all relevant action items
* Collaborate with GSC to assure hardware availability in time to support program needs
* Efficiently communicate with the team to improve collaboration and eliminate waste; share information and promote open dialogue
* Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
Qualifications / Requirements
* Engineering Master’s degree – Aeronautical/Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering preferred
* Previous proven and consistent experience in an engineering design team
* Fluent written and spoken Italian and English
* Clear thinking and diligent approach
* Self‑directed and motivated
* Work Visa, according to local regulation, is required
Desired Characteristics
* Previous experience in Turbine Aero‑engines design is considered a plus
* Solid background in either mechanical and/or aerothermal design
* Creativity, curiosity and passion for technical challenge
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Effective problem‑solving skills
* System and open mindset, clear thinking
* Ability to handle complex problems using a high level of judgment to make decisions
* Ability to offer new solutions outside of set parameters by using multiple internal and external sources to help arrive at a decision
* Capable to work in a multicultural environment; preferable previous international experience
