Take part to the sales development of WTP and AUX proposals inside the Danieli Engineering and Systems business unit Job Title: Civil Layout Designer - Professional Location: Buttrio (UD) The main goals of the position will be: - Draft civil engineering designs for equipment arrangement, water and sewage lines, drainage, roadways, buildings, etc. - Draft 2D (sometimes 3D) designs of piping systems, utilities, roadways, and other infrastructure systems for proposed WTP/AUX projects. - Interpret civil engineering drawings and WTP/AUX plans to determine where to place utility and piping systems. - Read maps and land surveys to note land grading, nearby structures, and other factors that could affect the placement of piping and utility systems. - Comply to city, country and state laws regarding design and building code requirements and submit proposed design plans to customers for approval. - Be responsible for staying up-to-date on local coding laws to ensure that designs stay within legal parameters and that proper building permits are obtained for proposed WTP/AUX projects. - Review sketches and drawings of proposed designs to ensure that all codes are being followed and plans are accurate. - Ideas and proposals to amend the standard solution adopted in order to promote improvements in performance and functionality. Activities of the position are: - Know how to use CAD software and other computer drawing programs to design infrastructure elements for planned WTP/AUX projects system. - Be detail-oriented and able to carefully analyze maps, surveys, and drawings to plan functioning WTP/AUX systems. - Work closely with engineers, customers and other staff members, which requires good verbal communication skills. - Has good critical thinking skills to troubleshoot potential problems with plans, designs, and sketches as well as adjustment plans as needed. - Has excellent computer skills to work with multiple types of design software. - Because civil designers work within tight timeframes and strict deadlines, good time-management skills are essential for this job. - Has strong multi-tasking abilities to juggle many different tasks and work on several design projects at once while maintaining focus Scolarship: Civil Engineer, Surveyor with a high school diploma as minimum.
