Position Overview

XTEL is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Payroll & HR Administration Intern to join our Global Payroll & HR Admin Team in Bologna, Italy.

In this role, you will support the team in day-to-day payroll and HR administrative activities, gaining hands-on experience in personnel administration, HR data management, payroll processes, and employee lifecycle activities. This is a great opportunity for someone who is eager to learn, grow in an international environment, and build solid foundations in HR Administration and Payroll.

Key Responsibilities
* Support in personnel administration activities (contracts, documentation, digital filing)
* Data entry, update, and verification in HR systems (employee records, contractual changes, reporting)
* Support in payroll activities
* Management and monitoring of HR documentation (hiring, terminations, extensions, contract changes)
* Monitoring and control of timesheets (holidays, sick leave, parental leave, maternity and paternity leave)
* Support in onboarding activities (documentation preparation, welcoming new hires) and offboarding
* Participation in HR projects (process digitalization, procedure improvement, system implementation)
Qualifications Education
* Degree in Law, Economics, Human Resources, Labour Law or a related field or currently enrolled in one of these areas.
Experience
* Strong interest in Payroll, HR Administration, and Labour Law, with motivation to learn and grow in these areas.
* Any previous internship, project work, or academic experience related to HR or administration is a plus, but not mandatory.
Technical Skills
* Good knowledge of Excel.
* Interest in HR or payroll tools and digital systems is a plus.
Soft Skills
* Willingness to learn, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude.
* Good communication skills and a positive approach to teamwork.
* Good organizational skills and ability to manage different tasks with accuracy.
Language Skills
* Good knowledge of Italian and English.
