We are looking for an Associate Frontend Developer to join our team at Olive Tree Consulting. In this role, you will help build and refine the digital tools we use to support our client engagements. Currently, our partner is a major European infrastructure group, and we are working closely with them to streamline their internal operational systems. You will play a key part in translating complex business processes into clean, usable web interfaces. About the role
This role exists to bridge the gap between our strategic consulting work and the practical web interfaces our clients use to manage their daily work.
At Olive Tree
Consulting, we help clients build better habits and clearer organizational processes. As an Associate Frontend Developer, you will build internal dashboards, process-mapping interfaces, and lightweight web tools that replace messy spreadsheets and confusing paper processes. This is an entry-level position where you will learn how to design and build front-end applications that solve real-world operational problems, working alongside our consultants and the client's internal teams.
What you will do
Write clean, readable HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript to build intuitive user interfaces.
Develop prototype tools that help our advisory team visualize client workflows and decision-making processes.
Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of our internal web applications.
Collaborate with consultants to translate visual wireframes and architectural plans into functional code.
Test interfaces across different devices and browsers to check for responsiveness and usability.
Participate in team code reviews to receive guidance and improve your coding standards. What we are looking for A solid foundational understanding of core front-end languages, specifically HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
A clear, structured approach to writing code and documenting your work for others.
Strong attention to detail, especially when matching a coded interface to a design or schematic.
Effective communication skills, with an ability to explain your technical choices clearly to non-technical team members.
A practical, problem-solving mindset that prefers simple, reliable solutions over complex layouts.
Comfort working in a collaborative environment where you will receive constructive feedback and active mentorship. Helpful background
Familiarity with a modern JavaScript framework such as React, Vue, or Svelte.
An understanding of Git version control systems and basic command-line tools.
Basic experience building responsive layouts or using straightforward CSS frameworks.
Previous personal projects, coding bootcamp experience, or academic coursework that demonstrates your interest in frontend development. What we offer
This is a permanent, full-time position offering attractive and competitive pay for the role and market.
We offer a structured hybrid working model that blends the flexibility of working from home with regular collaborative days in the office. This arrangement ensures you have the focus time needed for coding, alongside dedicated in-person days for planning sessions, mentorship, and team workshops. We also provide modern hardware, generous holiday allowances, and a supportive, practical environment focused on learning and skills acquisition.
About Olive Tree
Consulting
Olive Tree Consulting Group is a focused advisory practice that helps leadership teams solve recurring management issues. We typically work on the space between strategy and daily execution. A team can have very capable people and still find that decisions keep reopening, priorities stall, or responsibility remains unclear. These are rarely personality problems; they are structural habits that have not kept up with the company's growth.
We favor practical changes over large-scale transformation programs. Our work involves looking at how decisions are made, how meetings are run, and how ownership is recorded. We prefer useful written notes and clear ownership over polished presentations and vague alignment. Good advisory work should make things plainer and leave the team with a rhythm they can continue on their own.
The firm is built on the principle that memory is not a management system. We help teams create the smallest possible written record to support their work so that important follow-up does not depend on who was in the room or who has the best memory. The goal is a quieter management pattern that makes the existing work easier to lead.
