We are seeking a technician with 3+ years of experience supporting cloud printing and secure print solutions in an enterprise environment. This role is responsible for day‐to‐day operations, user support, and the reliable delivery of end‐to‐end print service.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor print queues, connectors, and device health to ensure service availability.
Fulfill user requests for printer access, installation, and incident resolution.
Maintain print infrastructure health, including any on‐premises components, as applicable.
Configure and support secure print release methods (ID badge, PIN, mobile release).
Ensure user authentication functions correctly across all multifunction devices (MFPs).
Review print logs and support compliance with applicable company policies and controls.
Apply security configurations and coordinate printer firmware updates in line with standards.
Provision, decommission, and update printers within cloud and print management tools.
Coordinate with vendors for break/fix support, toner replenishment, and preventative maintenance.
Maintain accurate inventory records for printers, MFPs, and consumables.
Verify devices are network‐connected, correctly configured, and operating as expected.
Provide L2/L3 support for print‐related incidents, including driver and client configuration issues, stuck or failed print jobs, authentication and secure release failures, cloud connector and service connectivity issues.
Perform root‐cause analysis for recurring issues and recommend corrective actions.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for common print tasks.
Maintain printer records (models, locations, IPs), configurations, and support notes.
Produce weekly/monthly reporting on print usage, service health, and recurring incidents.
Required Skills
3+ years of experience supporting enterprise print services.
Hands‐on experience with cloud printing solutions (e.g., Universal Print, PaperCut, PrinterLogic).
Working knowledge of core supporting technologies, including Windows print servers (where applicable), networking fundamentals (IP addressing, DNS, DHCP), Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) or comparable identity platforms.
Experience supporting common MFP vendors (HP, Canon, Ricoh, Xerox).
Basic PowerShell scripting skills are preferred.
Soft Skills
Strong communication skills when engaging end users and external vendors.
Demonstrated ability to produce clear, consistent documentation.
Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple requests concurrently.
