STEM IT - Project Quality Manager
We are seeking a Project Quality Manager who will report to the Project Quality and HSE Director of the Business Unit Projects (Powerlink, part of Prysmian Group). The position is based at our headquarters in Milan, Italy. The main responsibilities include planning and implementing quality activities within projects, coordinating and supervising Quality Assurance and Control activities in accordance with project complexity, scope of work (including design, manufacturing of cables/accessories, land and marine installation), company methods, contractual requirements, and relevant standards and regulations.
Key responsibilities:
* Support the Project Manager in managing client relationships regarding quality matters and contractual requirements.
* Coordinate the development of Project Quality Plans, Quality Control Plans, and Project Quality Procedures, ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory standards involving internal and external stakeholders.
* Collaborate with manufacturing plants to monitor product quality and maintain client relationships.
* Assess suppliers and subcontractors during tender and execution phases, reviewing their quality plans and activities for compliance.
* Plan and conduct quality training for project teams and stakeholders.
* Perform quality audits on processes, manufacturing plants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
* Manage client quality audits, non-conformities, and complaints to ensure effective resolution.
* Promote project improvements, lessons learned, and best practices.
* Assist in preparing project quality reports and analyze project data periodically.
* Ensure contract reviews and project close-out activities are completed per contractual requirements.
The role also involves collaborating with the company's Quality & HSE functions for reporting, tendering, and quality management.
Key requirements:
* Extensive experience in Quality Management, preferably within EPCI environments, including manufacturing, land site activities, or vessel operations.
* Master's degree in Engineering.
* Strong knowledge of ISO 9000 standards; auditing experience required. Qualification as a lead auditor is a plus. Knowledge of problem-solving techniques, IEC standards, PMI, risk management, Lean Six Sigma (certification is a plus).
* Leadership skills, team orientation, and organizational abilities.
* Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
* High proficiency in PC use.
* Fluent in English, both written and spoken; additional languages are advantageous.
* Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time.
