Purpose of the Position
Provide effective leadership to Warehouse Associates to ensure the Distribution Center (DC) meets or exceeds all goals. Responsible for daily planning and performance, focusing on inbound and outbound operations including unpacking, receiving, storing, picking, packing, shipping, inventory management, and space optimization.
Responsibilities and Duties
1. Monitor, coach, and develop Associates through training and mentoring.
2. Oversee all operational aspects to ensure proper receiving and storage of products.
3. Conduct performance reviews and implement improvement plans.
4. Participate in recruitment, including interviewing and decision-making.
5. Develop and execute action plans to meet performance targets.
6. Analyze procedures and collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to improve operations.
7. Communicate and enforce company policies and procedures.
8. Assist in creating succession plans for the DC.
9. Resolve inventory and service issues through effective communication.
10. Ensure health and safety guidelines are followed.
11. Demonstrate professional customer service skills.
12. Maintain housekeeping standards and equipment.
13. Represent the DC and Notino professionally, including giving tours and acting as a point of contact for visitors.
14. Be flexible to support other DCs as needed.
15. Perform other duties as assigned.
16. Prepare payroll documentation and evaluate Associates.
17. Manage personnel attendance and vacation planning.
18. Prioritize tasks and operations.
19. Document and update processes regularly.
20. Report system, equipment, or building issues.
21. Maintain correct stock levels.
22. Use standardized applications for operations.
23. Collect data, generate statistics, and report.
24. Manage KPI results across departments.
25. Coordinate with other departments such as Transport, Sales, and Legal.
26. Oversee capacity planning, including third-party partners.
27. Drive continuous improvement within the department.
Minimum Requirements
* At least two years of experience in a similar role, such as Team Leader or higher.
