Job Purpose
The Business Process Owner (BPO) is responsible for the end-to-end design, governance, and continuous improvement of specific business processes within the organization while implementing the new ERP. The BPO ensures that processes are efficient, standardized, compliant, and aligned with business and Corporate strategy, while supporting operational excellence and digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Process Governance & Ownership
Own the end-to-end business process, including all sub-processes and interfaces (I.E. workarounds, exceptions handling)
Define and maintain process documentation (I.E. BPM tool), including KPIs, and control frameworks.
Ensure alignment of process standards across regions, business units, and systems.
Analize and escalate any proposed process changes and manage version control (I.E. all deviations required from standard ERP implementation, new requirements, enhancements etc) bridging business needs and system capabilities.
1. Process Design & Optimization
Lead process mapping, gap analysis, and redesign initiatives required from ERP implementation
Identify opportunities for standardization, automation, and simplification required from ERP implementation
Collaborate with IT to ensure systems support the process effectively (ERP, workflow tools, etc.).
Benchmark internal processes against best practices and industry standards also to understand the capacity/capability requirements and evaluate, based on KPIES, resources requirements
Define new RACI and Job Descriptions after all process changes
1. Performance Management
Support the definition and monitoring process KPIs and SLAs.
Analyze performance data to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
1. Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with process users, local process owners, and functional leaders to ensure adoption and compliance.
Act as a liaison between business and technical teams during system implementations or upgrades.
Support communication and engagement initiatives and implement related KPIES (I.E. specific Engagement Survey)
Provide training and support to ensure process understanding across the organization (I.E. Hypercare, work instructions, repository)
1. Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure that processes comply with internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards.
Assess process risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
KPIs / Success Metrics:
* Respect the first Go-Live date defined
* Define new RACI, new Job Descriptions and new procedures within 60 days from Go-Live
* Process maturity needed for Go-Live
* % of processes standardized across business units - TBD
* Reduction in process cycle time / cost - TBD
* Number of improvement initiatives delivered - TBD
* Stakeholder satisfaction and adoption rate (Improve one point in ERP Engagement Survey)
Education - Training Courses:
* Degree in Management Engineering, Economics, or related fields.
* Preferable participation in training courses on Lean Management, Six Sigma, Project Management.
Technical Skills:
* In-depth knowledge of ERP systems and Business Process Management tools.
* Data analysis skills and proficiency with reporting tools (Excel, Power BI).
* Experience in mapping and optimizing business processes.
* Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Kaizen).
Interpersonal Skills:
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Leadership and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
* Problem solving and results-oriented mindset.
* Ability to manage change and motivate colleagues.
Language Skills:
* English: B2 level or higher (knowledge of a second language is a plus).
Experience:
* At least 3 years of experience in similar roles, preferably in industrial or multinational contexts.
* Experience in managing process improvement projects and implementing ERP systems.
