Overview
Technical Support Engineer (Passenger Cars) – The After Sales department within BYD Italy is responsible for all Service & Maintenance topics concerning our full electric buses & trucks. This includes building a service network across Europe, providing technical support to customers and Service Providers, supporting sales through Life Cycle Cost calculations, developing the Spare Parts business, and providing training. The main goal is to enhance Customer Satisfaction & loyalty. One key task of the department is to provide technical service to Service Providers and customers. We are seeking a Technical Support Engineer for Passenger Cars to support our Technical & Warranty team.
About the role
The Technical Support Engineer (Passenger Cars) will provide excellent service to maximize customer satisfaction, build regional technical capability, and ensure efficient technical operations.
Responsibilities
* Providing regional technical support in Italy via service portal, remote diagnostics, and onsite support;
* Conducting regular visits, meetings, workshops, and activities with regional partners and headquarters to improve technical skills;
* Organizing and delivering onsite technical training for new product launches, level training, and on-the-job training;
* Reporting fault tendencies and critical issues, promoting quick solutions;
* Developing and releasing technical notices and repair case studies;
* Managing regional special events, providing timely onsite support, and conducting technical research;
* Responding promptly to special event needs;
* Performing other duties as assigned by the line manager.
Your profile
* Bachelor\'s degree or higher, with over 2 years of relevant experience; fluent in Italian and English; additional European languages are a plus;
* Strong cross-cultural communication and coordination skills;
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment;
* NEV technical background is preferred;
* Willingness to travel frequently within Europe and to China.
