Altair is seeking highly motivated and energetic Presales Specialists to join our supportive team. This role requires the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and involves providing presales support and expertise related to Altair's RapidMiner analytics suite and consulting services. You will focus on supporting the sales process from qualification to services handoff for large, complex sales opportunities. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential to convey Altair’s value proposition to stakeholders, outlining both immediate and long-term business value. Travel may be up to 25%. What You Will Do: Co-lead discovery sessions with sales to understand customer challenges and craft solutions. Work strategically with sales management to deliver forecasts, identify opportunities, and provide recommendations. Develop an understanding of customer business requirements. Participate in delivering customer presentations and provide expert opinions. Demonstrate the features and benefits of Altair’s RapidMiner and SLC platforms. Support the development of opportunities and account strategies. Ensure smooth transition of consulting services to the delivery team. Assist with marketing support, including writing white papers, video scripts, and participating in analyst briefings. Develop sales enablement tools like technical slides, ROI calculators, and training documents. Support RFx qualification and responses. Stay informed about RapidMiner products, industry trends, and competitors. Build trusted advisor relationships with key accounts and stakeholders. What You Will Need: At least 2 years of experience in technical presales or solutions consulting in data mining, engineering, machine learning, visualization, statistics, or Big Data analytics. Excellent communication skills, including presentation and demonstration abilities, capable of influencing all levels of business, including C-level executives. Strong analytical skills and understanding of programming and algorithms. Experience with system/cloud architecture and certifications like TOGAF is a plus. Knowledge of data preparation for analytics and machine learning concepts. Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Cognos, Tableau, Qlik) and data science platforms (Dataiku, DataRobot, Databricks, Knime, Alteryx) is advantageous. Proficiency in open-source languages and data science languages like R, Python, and SQL. Experience with Big Data tools like Jupyter, PySpark, Hadoop is beneficial. Proven ability to develop client-focused solutions based on customer needs. Undergraduate degree in Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields; postgraduate degrees or certificates in Data Science are preferable. Preferred: Presales or solution consulting experience supporting sales, especially in financial services. Experience with financial risk modeling and regulatory reporting. Knowledge of SAS language and procedures. Language: Professional proficiency in Italian and English is mandatory. Additional languages like Spanish and French are assets.
