6 days ago Be among the first 25 applicantsGet AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features.Direct message the job poster from VOMM Impianti e Processi SpAPurpose· Grant the preparation of a cost estimate through either internal estimation or market inquiries in coordination with other internal departments, as necessary.· Ensure, through coordination with teams from other departments (engineering, procurement, etc.), that bid activities are implemented in compliance with the set bidding strategy.· Report to the engineering manager and support the commercial manager; be responsible for preparing the technical proposal in accordance with the invitation to bid requirements and the execution strategy defined with management.· Support technical and contractual negotiations with the client alongside the commercial and legal departments.Responsibilities and duties· Plan work to meet the schedule; when applicable, plan discipline engineering man-hours aligned with the progress schedule. Control, review, and monitor deviations from the plan as necessary.· Ensure the timely delivery of the technical proposal in strict compliance with bid closing dates.· Collaborate with the commercial manager to define winning and bid execution strategies to maximize the competitiveness of the cost estimate.· Identify activities needed from internal disciplines for proposal preparation and cost estimation.· Execute estimation of plant sections, ensuring alignment with the latest BoQ, quotations, assumptions, etc.· Ensure the completeness and coherence of the price sheet, for which you are fully responsible, and cooperate in the preparation of the price.· Submit the proposal summary and the cost/revenue summary for approval to the Commercial Manager before submitting the commercial proposal to the client.· Conduct market inquiries to collect external supplier proposals with procurement, and evaluate offers received.· Attend tender review meetings.· Maintain contact with clients/consultants as the sole technical interface for assigned proposals.· Ensure engineering documentation is produced on time and with quality.· Collect relevant proposal documentation and record decisions and assumptions made during development.· Prepare the technical proposal with the bid team according to tender requirements, ensuring quality and completeness.· Support the Project Controller in preparing the project cash flow.· Prepare handover and contract review documentation upon contract award for the Project Manager.· Support the Engineering Manager by proposing improvements to procedures and tools, coordinating with other disciplines during development.Requirements· Degree in engineering, preferably chemical engineering.· Proven experience in proposal/cost estimator roles in industrial plant design and construction.· Fluency in English; knowledge of a second language is a plus.Seniority levelEntry levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionOtherIndustriesMachinery Manufacturing
