We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Development Mechanical Designer to join our R&D team in the Converting Roll sector. Location: Lucca, Italy.
Key Responsibilities
 * Design and develop mechanical equipment and devices for Valmet machinery in the Converting Roll sector.
 * Create mechanical groups and machine prototypes.
 * Perform component sizing and structural analysis using CAE tools.
 * Collaborate with other R&D areas (hardware, software, testing, and assembly) to identify optimal design solutions.
 * Research and apply new materials and technologies to enhance product performance and efficiency.
 * Provide effective solutions to support both process and product development initiatives.
Requirements
 * Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
 * 7-10 years of experience in a technical role, preferably within tissue converting machinery.
 * Knowledge of 3D CAD (Siemens NX) and CAE tools (Siemens Simcenter).
 * Familiarity with SAP and MS Office.
 * Excellent knowledge of English and Italian.
 * Strong analytical, organizational, and teamwork skills.

 * Availability and willingness to travel occasionally.
