Senior/chief automotive designer

Join BYD Milan Design Studio to craft advanced exterior and interior styling for a global audience. You will help shape BYD’s styling language through end-to-end design work, collaborating with engineering and international teams. The role spans from independent delivery to strategy and team leadership depending on level. • Independently deliver end-to-end styling solutions (Senior)
• Ensure design feasibility with engineering teams
• Lead project-specific trend research
• Guide juniors and participate in design reviews
• Lead the studio’s exterior/interior styling strategy and creative direction (Chief)
• Build & manage an international high-performing styling team (Chief)
• Coordinate with global design/engineering teams for design realization (Senior/Chief)
• Drive innovation in BYD’s styling language (Chief)

• Proven automotive exterior/interior styling experience (Senior/Chief)
• Excellent independent design & problem-solving ability (Senior) xjrgpwk
• Proficient in using design software and tools for proposal delivery; hands-on with digital and physical models
• Mandatory professional automotive design portfolio
• Fluent in English (written & spoken)
• Bachelor’s or higher in Automotive/Transportation/Industrial/Interior Design
• Ability to work in a multicultural international team
