Sompo International is seeking a Regional Third-Party Risk & Business Continuity Manager to ensure the operational execution of the global Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) strategy and business continuity management (BCM) standards in the Continental Europe region. This role reports directly to the Department Head – Third Party Management & Business Resilience.
The successful candidate will focus on maintaining operational excellence in TPRM by ensuring regulatory compliance, accurate data management, and stakeholder engagement. Additionally, the role involves supporting regional BCM initiatives by acting as the primary point of contact and facilitating the implementation and testing of business continuity plans.

What You’ll Be Doing
Third-Party Risk Management Operations
* Execute and support the global Third-Party Risk Management Target Operating Model (TPRM TOM) for the Continental Europe region.
* Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements (e.g. GDPR, DORA and CSRD) and organizational policies.
* Collaborate with the Department Head to embed TPRM processes and controls into daily operations, addressing gaps and driving continuous improvement.
* Conduct regular assessments of third-party risks and ensure timely implementation of mitigation measures.
Stakeholder Management, Data Management and Organizational Awareness
* Maintain and update outsourcing and intragroup-sourcing data repositories, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with organizational standards.
* Provide insights and reports to the Department Head and other stakeholders on third-party risk and sourcing activities.
* Drive organizational awareness of the TPRM model and individual responsibilities, ensuring alignment with the global strategy.
* Support the Department Head in conducting training sessions and providing guidance on TPRM and BCM processes.
Business Continuity Management Support
* Act as the regional point of contact for BCM initiatives, supporting the Department Head in implementing and testing business continuity plans.
* Collaborate with regional teams to ensure alignment with global BCM standards and resolve regional-specific challenges.
* Assist in monitoring and reporting on BCM activities, including the status of plan implementation and testing.
Market Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
* Monitor emerging risks and regulatory changes impacting TPRM and BCM in Continental Europe.
* Identify opportunities for process optimization in TPRM and BCM practices, aligning with the Department Head’s strategic direction.
* Help monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of TPRM and BCM processes in the region.
What You’ll Bring
* A Bachelor’s Degree (preferred), with certifications or qualifications in business continuity, operational resilience, or risk management being advantageous.
* Proven experience in business resilience, governance, or risk management within the insurance or financial services sector
* Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements related to TPRM and BCM in Continental Europe including DORA, GDPR, etc.
* Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and drive collaboration across diverse teams.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English; additional European language skills are advantageous.
* Familiarity with TPRM platforms such as CERTA as well as operational systems for data management
