Propulsion Architect / Propulsion Engineer Thales Alenia Space, a joint venture between Thales (67%) and Leonardo (33%), is a global space manufacturer delivering high‑tech solutions for telecommunications, navigation, Earth Observation, and more. We are looking for a Propulsion Architect / Propulsion Engineer to work within a system/subsystem core team and interface with customers and suppliers. Key Duties Assess spacecraft level requirements concerning propulsion and define propulsion requirements at system, subsystem and equipment levels. Prepare technical specifications for propulsion subsystem/equipment. Contribute to preparation of statements of work for propulsion subsystem/equipment. Define the propulsion system architecture based on system level requirements. Conduct functional and performance analysis of a propulsion system using the dedicated EcosimPro application software. Size and design the propulsion system and subsystem, including the interfaces. Provide technical follow‑up of development, qualification and procurement of propulsion subsystems/equipment. Define and coordinate the propulsion system verification at system/subsystem/equipment level. Interface with the internal and external customers and suppliers. Skills, experience and qualifications required Master’s degree in Engineering (aerospace preferred). Knowledge of different types of propulsion systems, including advanced ones for space applications. Knowledge of main requirements applicable to propulsion systems. Knowledge of verification approach/content applicable to propulsion systems. Attitude to face and learn new topics with enthusiasm. Good attitude towards teaming and multidisciplinary approaches. Good attitude towards analysis, synthesis and problem solving. Respect of company hierarchy, rules and discipline. Attitude to work respecting budgets and schedule constraints.
