The
Quality
Engineer
is
responsible
for
the
development
,
testing
and
implementation
of
improvements
in
quality
and
food
safety
programs
.
The
position
is
responsible
for
investigating
quality
and
food
safety risk
areas
and
taking
appropriate
action
i.e.
initiate
actions
for
improvements
of
product
quality
and
manufacturing
processes
,
work
instructions
,
procedures
and
work
methods
.
The
Quality
Engineer
provides
support
for
the
technology
transfer
and
validation
programs
and
assists
in
the
delivery
of
training
and
instructions
concerning
the
quality
&
validation
learnings
,
work
procedures
and
instructions
.
The Quality
engineer
is
responsible
to
ensure
conformance
with
C
/
P
and
Hill's
quality
&
food
safety
programs
and
operational
standards
.
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing, testing, and implementing improvements in quality and food safety programs.
* Investigating quality and food safety risk areas and initiating actions for improvement in product quality, manufacturing processes, work instructions, procedures, and methods.
* Supporting technology transfer and validation programs, as well as delivering training on quality and validation.
* Ensuring conformance with C/P and Hill's quality and food safety programs and operational standards.
* Monitoring CAPA/non-conformance programs, troubleshooting quality issues, and optimizing current quality performance.
* Assisting in implementing legislative and corporate food safety standards, HACCP, GMP, and regulatory initiatives.
* Analyzing Quality KPIs and participating in continuous improvement programs.
Required qualifications:
* A B.A./B.S. degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Engineering, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biology or a related field.
* Basic proficiency/experience with statistical process control, metrology, HACCP, GMP, basic microbiology, and quality auditing.
* 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food / pet food industry with a focus on food safety.
* Proficient knowledge of HACCP, cGMPs, and SPC, along with excellent interpersonal, communication, critical thinking, and computer skills (Google Suite, Microsoft Office, SAP).
