This position reports to:
R&D Team Lead
Your Role And Responsibilities
You will support strategic technology direction by contributing ideas for identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative technology, software and solutions. Each day you will execute assigned tasks and apply technical knowledge. You will also stay abreast of the state of the art and apply this knowledge.
In this role, you’ll help drive real impact by:
Working as a reliable contributor in R&D projects for portfolio development, enhancement or maintenance.
Using technical know‑how in your area of competence to answer customer needs, solve problems and propose new ideas.
Validating technical solutions with calculations, simulations and tests.
Documenting work results (findings, designs or test results) to allow maintenance and improvement.
Collaborating with several stakeholders inside and outside R&D to reach assigned targets and manage risks.
Providing consulting services to business operations and customers.
Qualifications For The Role
Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Technical High School diploma.
Experience in the electromechanical industry, preferably as an engineer/designer of medium voltage products.
Qualified in CAD (preferably SolidWorks) and PLM (preferably Windchill) with capabilities in reading 2D technical drawings and electrical diagrams.
Proficient communication in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
Enjoys designing, prototyping and testing mechanical and/or electrical components.
Passionate about analyzing issues, creating solutions from scratch and validating them with calculations and simulations.
Expertise in simulations (mechanical, electrical, electromechanical) is a plus.
