Our HQ in Trento (Italy) is currently looking for a:MARKET INTELLIGENCE SPECIALIST Within the kdc/one Scented & Living Solutions' Business Intelligence team, the Market Intelligence Specialist plays a pivotal role in keeping stakeholders ahead of the market. The role is responsible for building, operating and continuously raising the quality of the division's market intelligence function, evolving it from descriptive reporting towards deeper analytical depth, sharper foresight and more predictive intelligence. This includes competitive intelligence across the full value chain, from competitor manufacturing footprint and production capabilities to product portfolio and go-to-market strategies.The role identifies, synthesizes and communicates the most relevant news, competitor moves, emerging trends and consumer insights, enabling pragmatic commercial and strategic decisions on new customers and markets, product portfolio and internal capabilities. It directly supports Business Development initiatives and the Division's Long Range Plan targets across geographies.A strong ability to transform complex data into clear and compelling messages using Power BI and other visualization tools is essential, ensuring insights are communicated in a simple, relevant and engaging way for different stakeholders.Responsibilities: Collect, analyze and interpret market data, consumer trends and competitor activities across the full value chain, from manufacturing capabilities to commercial strategies. Use syndicated sources (e.G. MIntel, IRI, Circana) to continuously refine analytical frameworks and generate sharper, more forward-looking insights.Design and implement scalable intelligence processes and tracking tools that ensure key market and business indicators are monitored continuously and efficiently, with a growing emphasis on anticipating market shifts and signaling emerging risks and opportunities before they become obvious.Translate data into clear market and consumer insights, identifying key drivers and providing actionable “so what” implications to support commercial and strategic decisions.Respond to ad-hoc strategic requests from C-level stakeholders, structuring analyses quickly and translating findings into clear, decision-ready recommendations.Collaborate with Sales, R&D; and Innovation teams to ensure market insights are aligned with business objectives and effectively guide product, innovation and go-to-market strategies.Define and structure dashboards and reporting solutions (e.G. Power BI), translating business needs into clear requirements and guiding their development with IT or data teams.Manage relationships with external data providers and vendors, including active involvement in scoping and evaluating new sources, overseeing data quality and ensuring the intelligence toolkit remains fit for purpose.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Scented & Living Solutions market and act as a key internal reference for commercial teams, clarifying analyses, data sources and intelligence methodologies.Requirements:Fluency in English is a prerequisiteUniversity degree in Business Administration, Economics, Social Sciences, Statistics or a related field.Master's in Marketing, Consumer Insights or related field is a plus.4+ years in Market Intelligence, Consumer/Shopper Insights, Category Management, Strategic Insights or Analytics within a B2B Fast Moving Consumer Goods multinational or a consultancy/syndicated data provider covering the same industry.Analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to move beyond data description towards interpretation, pattern recognition and predictive reasoning. Hands-on experience with syndicated data sources (e.G. Nielsen, IRI, Circana or similar), including experience in building dashboards and analytical use cases, extracting insights and translating findings into clear business implications.Proven ability to research and gather competitive intelligence across a variety of channels and formats, mapping the competitive landscape across both manufacturing operations and finished product markets.Practical experience with AI-enabled tools, with a pragmatic approach to AI.Great interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to write and present convincingly and to engage stakeholders at all levels.High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI.Curious, energetic and collaborative, with a fast-learner mindset and a natural drive to go beyond the obvious.Join US!
