We emphasize innovation, precision and speed. IT System Administrator – TWS (Technical Workstation) The role involves managing and optimising high‑performance workstations for automotive projects. The candidate will act as the technical point of reference for design teams, ensuring that hardware, drivers and CAD/CAE/CAM software operate at maximum stability and speed. Responsibilities
Workstation management
Installation, configuration and updating of hardware and software; definition of golden image and build/versioning procedures. Performance optimisation. Troubleshooting CAD/CAE/CAM software issues (e.g. CATIA, Creo) and system interactions. Creation and maintenance of operational documentation (runbooks, SOP).
Software administration
Installation and maintenance of CAD/CAE/CAM suites and related plugins. Validation of patches, service packs and updates, including drivers and libraries.
User support
Second‑level support for designers and technical teams. Analysis and resolution of performance, compatibility or stability problems. Preparation of guidelines and best‑practice documents for CAD workstation use.
Performance and infrastructure management
Monitoring of workstation performance. Tuning of driver settings, cache, paging, power profiles; periodic execution of standard and custom benchmarks. Evaluation of new hardware components and assistance in specification definition for new purchases. Collaboration with engineering to guarantee an efficient and standardised CAD environment.
Security and backup
Application of security policies and protection of technical data. Support for compliance with internal and external regulations (e.g. cybersecurity).
Required qualifications
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field. At least 2 years of experience in IT systems management, preferably in manufacturing or engineering environments. Deep knowledge of workstation hardware. Familiarity with licensing and installation procedures for engineering software (e.g. Dassault Systèmes, PTC). Strong log analysis and advanced troubleshooting skills. Proficient English (B2/C1). Excellent communication, relational skills and problem‑solving attitude.
