About the roleBased at our manufacturing site in Moncalieri, Italy, the EHS Specialist / ASPP & Engineering will play a key role in ensuring a safe, compliant and sustainable working environment while supporting engineering and industrialization initiatives at plant level.In this role, you will act as ASPP (Assistant to the Prevention and Protection Service), supporting the site organization and the RSPP in the implementation of Italian health, safety and environmental legislation, while working closely with local and corporate EHS and Engineering stakeholders.What\'s in it for you ?Fixed-term contract for 24 months with possible extension.Flexible schedule and hybrid work arrangement (4 days onsite/1 day remote).Competitive Incentive programs, health insurance, pension fund scheme, meal tickets, and other benefits.Vacation days as per the National Collective Agreement for Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sector additional to the local official holidays.2 days volunteering leave per year to dedicate to the cause of your choiceAccess to QH University: continuous online learning and development platform for all levels.DEI and Recognition initiatives such as Women in Manufacturing, Next Gen and PRIDE CRGs and our Global Giving and Impact Awards programs.What will you do?EHS / ASPP ResponsibilitiesSupport the implementation and ongoing compliance with Italian Legislative Decree 81/2008 (Health & Safety) and Legislative Decree 152/2006 (Environmental).Identify workplace hazards, perform risk assessments, and define preventive and protective measures to ensure safe and healthy work environments.Develop, implement and continuously update EHS procedures, policies and operating instructions.Define prevention and protection measures and monitor their effectiveness through appropriate control systems.Prepare and deliver EHS training and awareness programs, organize training sessions, and act as a trainer when required.Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses; conduct root cause analysis; prepare technical reports; calculate accident frequency and severity indexes and related statistics.Develop and implement accident reduction and safety improvement programs.Manage environmental permits and compliance related to wastewater discharges, air emissions and waste management.Coordinate self-monitoring activities related to air emissions, exhaust gas treatment systems, wastewater, noise emissions and accidental spills.Manage and support the renewal and ongoing maintenance of the Integrated Management System certifications (ISO 45001 and ISO 14001), including internal and external audits.Coordinate health surveillance activities and manage the relationship with the Occupational Physician.Support corporate EHS initiatives related to PPE usage, risk reporting, safety campaigns, and employee engagement in Health & Safety.Support the site in the execution of engineering and industrialization projects.Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes and utility systems.Collaborate in the definition of process flow diagrams and layout improvements for production and logistics areas.Support the preparation and review of technical and EHS specifications for equipment design, procurement and installation.What are we looking for?We are looking for a motivated fresh graduate or junior professional (0–2 years of experience) who is eager to start a career in EHS and Engineering within a manufacturing environment.Education & ExperienceBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Chemistry, or a closely related technical discipline.A strong academic foundation in process safety, industrial chemistry, environmental topics or manufacturing processes is preferred.Basic knowledge of Italian EHS legislation (D.Lgs. 81/2008 and D.Lgs. 152/2006) or strong interest and willingness to learn.Initial exposure to or understanding of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems is a plus.Interest in or limited experience supporting engineering, industrialization or process improvement projects is considered an advantage.Languages & ToolsProfessional level of Italian and English (written and spoken) is required.Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Soft SkillsProactive, hands-on and eager-to-learn attitude.Good communication skills and ability to interact with different stakeholders.Structured problem-solving approach with attention to detail.Willingness to work collaboratively in a cross-functional and matrix organization.Strong sense of responsibility regarding health, safety and environmental topics.Location: Reasonable commuting distance to Moncalieri, Italy.Who are we?We are a global leader in the industrial process and mechanical engineering sectors present in 40+ countries.
