For a leading global software company we are selecting a
GENERAL LEDGER
We offer : permanent contract, RAL 33-35.000€.
Benefit: hybrid work on Friday plus one additional day per week.
Office location : Rome Nomentana
Working hours : 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Key Finance Tasks:
* prepare and maintain full sets of accounts including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Bank Reconciliation;
* ensure timely month-end closing and preparation of financial reports in accordance with accounting standards and company policies;
* handle journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations of balance sheet schedules;
* assist in statutory reporting, tax filing (e.g., GST, corporate income tax), and audit schedules;
* support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis;
* coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and banks when required;
* ensure compliance with local accounting, tax, and corporate regulations;
* support with monthly payroll processing tasks.
Other Tasks:
* support with public tender administration topics;
* perform any ad-hoc duties or assignments (e.g. occasional front desk coverage).
Qualifications
* proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; SAP BusinessByDesign (ByD) experience is highly preferred;
* 5-7 years proven accounting experience, ideally with experience in public accounting / auditing;
* strong attention to detail and accuracy in work;
* excellent organizational and time management skills;
* ability to work effectively both independently and in a team;
* experience working within a global team is preferred;
* strong communication and interpersonal abilities;
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or accounting diploma;
* fluency in written and spoken English;
* knowledge and experience with public tenders and Public Administration processes is preferred.
