Reports to the Deputy Chief Designer Structure or their designee. /ph3Overview /h3pResponsible for structural design and analysis of F1 chassis related components, development and improvement of methodologies, and technical mentoring of junior group members. /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliPromote teamwork and effective communications to develop trustworthy relationships between all personnel and departments. /liliMentor, train and guide personnel as required. Develop staff using effective performance reviews and development plans. /liliOther duties as assigned by the Deputy Chief Designer Structure or their designee. /liliStructural analysis and optimization of car components to guarantee solutions with minimum weight, adequate reliability and safety, while achieving the required stiffness targets. /liliDevelopment of methodologies and documentation, and support in improving the future technical capability of the structures group. /liliUse methods including hand-calculations, Finite Element Analysis (linear and nonlinear), software structural optimization (topological, shape, composite laminate, etc.), automation, and analysis and correlation of experimental data through scripting and programming. /liliCover both Mechanical field (wheel groups, inboard suspensions, transmission, etc.) and Composite area (chassis, gearbox, wings, bodywork, suspensions, etc.). /liliDevelopment and improvement of analysis methods within the group. /liliMentoring and development of junior group members to improve their technical capability. /liliFollow all safety regulations in all venues. /liliOversee ad hoc projects as assigned. /li /ulh3Education and Experience /h3ulliMaster’s degree in Aeronautic, Automotive, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. /lili10 years of work experience, with at least 7 years in a professional motorsport environment. /li /ulh3Specialized Knowledge and Skills /h3ulliAbility to supervise others, communicate effectively, and liaise with fellow workers to achieve desired results. /liliStrong teamwork and positive work attitude; high standard in a demanding environment. /liliStrong written and verbal communication skills; excellent English language proficiency. /liliStrong technical background in racing cars. /liliAbility to work under stress and meet deadlines with a scientific, analytical approach. /liliCollaborative team player at all levels and a proactive, can-do attitude. /li /ulh3Equipment and Applications /h3ulliCAD System: Catia V5 (basic functions). /liliHyperWorks/Optistruct. /liliAbaqus CAE/Abaqus. /liliDesign Studio/Genesis. /liliMatlab/Python. /li /ulh3Work Environment /h3pAn ability to work in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment; travel may be required domestically and internationally; long and flexible hours including weekends. /ppPhysical demands may include lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, squatting, and manual dexterity.
