The company represents the centenary legacy of industrial defence tradition of Colleferro (RM), while at the same time becoming part of the KNDS Group and its dynamics as a multinational company with the aim of becoming a leader in the European Defence Industry.
JOB MISSION
The position should be analytically minded and possess excellent negotiating skills to secure the best terms and conditions (prices, delivery date, quality requirements and payment terms) according to company rules.
JOB TASKS
- Manage RFQ: collect and analyse suppliers' quotes, negotiate, consolidate supplier commitment to RFQ, process RFQ and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Ensure export/import control regulations are strictly followed-up.
- Keep purchasing IT software updated on a weekly basis, as far as the information under his/her responsibilities are concerned.
- Assist logistics/quality departments in case of late deliveries/non-conformities (with the support of the Lead Buyer whenever relevant).
- Propose and implement cost savings (gaps) within the framework of the strategies and the cost reduction targets set.
- Implement the continuous improvement actions (product, process ...) defined with Lead Buyers and Product/Productivity Manager.
- Analyse market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions. xivgfpx
EDUCATION
Degree in relevant field or technical high school diploma
EXPERIENCE
2-3 years in Purchasing

- Computer skills: SAP, Office package
- Ability to understand value streams, cost drivers and how to break down cost structures
