The Lab. and Incoming Inspection Manager Giga Factory manages people and tools to perform all the analysis on materials from Incoming Quality to final produced cells and modules, both for serial production and new launches and to ensure the qualification (internal) & certification (external) of all inspection, measurement and testing equipment (IMTE), to meet the required quality standards and targets.
Main Missions
Define the methodologies and related Work Instructions to inspect Chemical and Mechanical components.
Analyze the Chemistry of materials according to general and ACC specific standards;
Responsible for managing the calibration, operation and maintenance of the Laboratory Equipment
Perform cleanliness audit of the components (particles weight and size) according to Product Engineering specifications
Ensure all gauges are properly identified and tracked according to ISO requirements
Maintain gauges inventory and sign off checklists for all new or modified gauges
Maintain periodical gauge service interval for equipment calibrated by external vendors, ensuring vendors used for gage calibration are certified with scope of accreditation to ISO / IEC 17025
Enter into the system recertification date and results
Work together with Process Line Manager of each line for the replacement of damaged and / or missing gauges
Write requisitions for service to gauges OEM, in case of repair needed.
Manage Quality purchases for the Quality department of the Giga Factory (create Purchase Requests and Purchase Orders, approve invoices)
Ensure safe stock for critical spares of the gauges.
Manage the storage of “reference samples” parts and measurements.
Manage the teardown activities (product audit and field return).
Manage the CT scan.
Share experience and continuous improvement across ACC organization (e.g. Center of Competence).
Follow all Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental requirements that are defined on ACC policy, procedures and / or work instructions and / or explained in training.
5 years experience in quality and minimum 2 years as Laboratory and Metrology Quality Manager
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, preferred in Chemistry, Materials, Mechanics
Minimum 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive, semiconductor, electronics, or aerospace fields are preferred).
Proficient in advanced statistical methods, large-scale data analysis, measurement systems analysis, SPC, etc.
Minitab, JMP, or other statistical software capabilities are preferred.
English fluent
Automotive and, or Aviation internal auditor certification is a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are required.
