Ph3Overview /h3pThe HSE Associate Expert will be responsible for supporting all HSE compliance aspects at the TRD RLT laboratories. Moreover, she/he will help ensure that Health, Safety and Environmental activities are managed according to applicable local laws and Novartis HSE Management System requirements and assist in the continuous improvement of applicable HSE Management Systems, while helping to spread our safety and environmental culture by proactively engaging associates and enhancing awareness. /ph3Key responsibilities /h3ullipCollaborate with the TRD RLT HSE Lead to support HSE programs across TRD IVR, Pilot Plant, and laboratories, ensuring effective implementation of policies, handbooks, procedures, and work instructions. /p /lilipPromote HSE campaigns, conduct periodic walkthroughs, and support general HSE cultural awareness activities. /p /lilipDraft, update, and implement HSE and Radiation Safety SOPs, ensuring alignment with internal standards and regulatory requirements. /p /lilipAnalyze safety and environmental performance, recommend improvement plans, and monitor the implementation of protective measures. /p /lilipAssist Radiation Safety activities including instrument periodic controls, environmental surveys, wipe tests, spill/contamination response, waste management, and dosimetry. /p /lilipSupport emergency handling for hazards such as ionizing radiation and chemicals, coordinating with the TRD RLT HSE Lead. /p /lilipContribute to incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive action implementation. /p /lilipIdentify HSE risks for employees and third parties, support SAMACO and LOTOTO, and ensure strict adherence to regulatory and internal compliance standards. /p /li /ulh3Essential requirements /h3ullipHigh school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred /p /lilipItalian proficient; English fluent /p /lilip1–3 years HSE experience; radiation safety experience preferred /p /lilipAble to respond to business needs and manage stressful situations /p /lilipEffective working independently and collaboratively in teams /p /lilipDemonstrates helpfulness, trustworthiness, and a speak-up culture /p /lilipCommitted to continuous improvement /p /lilipDeputizes for the TRD RLT HSE Lead /p /li /ulh3Why Novartis? /h3pOur purpose is to reimagine medicine to improve and extend people’s lives and our vision is to become the most valued and trusted medicines company in the world.
